Let me catch you up. Nathan Fake is a producer from the UK, whose techno beats have leaned industrial lately, especially on his latest LP, Providence. His career’s fourth full-length and first out on Ninja Tune, on Providence he layers oversaturated bass lines atop one another, morphing his usual intergalactic melodies into something slightly more sinister for the project. The record came out in March, but Nathan Fake isn’t quite done with it yet. He is in the midst of releasing a series of EPs of re-imaginings of the original music, including diverse reworks from Overmono, Olga Wojciechowska, Konx-Om-Pax, and of course, Nathan Fake himself. The second installment of Providence Reworks just dropped last week, so it could be safe to assume that another EP is going to drop before the end of the year.
