Originally appeared on Grimy Goods.
Toronto’s U.S. Girls, aka musician and producer Meg Remy, is back with two new songs cut from a new album, Heavy Light. The upbeat energy of “4 American Dollars” and “Overtime” adds a new layer to the rich storytelling that fans have come to expect. U.S. Girls are headed on tour to share new tunes; luckily, Angelenos will have two chances to see U.S. Girls at the Masonic Lodge, supported by Jack Name on April 22nd, and by Bonjay on April 23rd.

6. U.S. Girls – “4 American Dollars”
U.S. Girls aka Meg Remy keeps her tongue firmly in cheek, and “4 Americans Dollars” was a highlight from Heavy Light. btw “I don’t believe in pennies and nickels and dimes and dollars and pistoles and pounds and rupees and yen and rubles no dinero” is my new mantra.
