Remember when text messaging began to take over in the early 2000s? The hot acronym was SMS which stands for Short Message Service, and it became a staple of the growing cellular phone phenomenon. Lucy Arnell probably uses SMS frequently, but in her recent single, she draws a parallel to the chokehold that instant communication has on us, begging: “steal my shadow!”
