Onyx Collective is a savvy young group from New York, who for the past year have been doing slightly more than busking, playing in ramshackle spaces that became impromptu studios; hence the birth of their latest release, Lower East Side Suite. This is the first part of a series of recordings they’ve done of their freeform collaboration, with an infectious style that will make anyone wish they were in the big apple to witness the magic live.
