Now the memories I have of Alfred Apaka are compressed and layered like a funhouse mirror in my mind. Childhood persists through, for example, my pre-established love for Lilo & Stitch getting brushed up with certain flexing notes, mixing with the current joys of music discovery I had when I brought it home, culminating in writing this article to revive my vinyl diary.
