Admittedly, if it weren’t for the remix of the title track from Dan Kye, I would have completely missed Wallflower by Jordan Rakei. I’m glad I finally gave it a listen, several months after it dropped on Ninja Tune, because it is a record swelling with joy. The production is clean but not overwhelming, cycling between feeling intimate and energetic as the album wears on.
