Grizzly Bear Ventures Out of the WoodsĀ
Though frontman Ed Droste has called Los Angeles home for years now, Grizzly Bear as a band never considered this city their ābase.ā But each member has lived in LA at some point in their lives. So, ā[t]his is kind of a hometown show for all of us,ā declared Daniel Rossenā¦or maybe it was Ed. Hometown Heroes for All
Now that I have lived for eleven years on the other side of the country from where I grew up, I have a more pronounced affection for what I call my hometown heroes, who are up-and-coming athletes or performers or persons of note. I relish in seeing success for other folks who are also where Iām from, even though I could never see myself returning … Continue reading Hometown Heroes for All
Nmesh āĀ “Heavyweight Subliminal”
Nmesh’s chopped up jam “Heavyweight Subliminal” is a piece of modern art that masquerades as a song with a music video. It circulates around a solid motif and reminds you that, like everyone else, you are equally as susceptible to covert psychological warfare.
