Many aspects of this video mix entertainment and politics; such is the life of a feminist artist from Lebanon. Yasmine Hamdan collaborated with a Palestinian director on the clip for “Balad,” a word which translates to ‘Country.’ In it, she uses the streets of Beirut to illustrate a oneness of people, and how trapped they may feel by border restrictions. Migration is a human right and to restrict it endangers their lives in every possible way.
